Which is Best — A 1-Year or 5-Year Career Plan?

How far in advance do you plan your career moves? Experts like the Harvard Business Review recommend a longer view when it comes to career planning. Unlike a New Year’s Resolution, one year is not really enough time to plan for and execute your vision. Instead, try giving yourself time to brainstorm, map it out, gather feedback and test your plan.

Brainstorming can include answering questions like what skills do you have, and which do you need to develop? Who can help you outline your goals like a coach or mentor? What are your long-term income goals?  Apps like pepelwerk can help you with this process, develop a learning plan and connect you with a coach or mentor. When you are strategic about your future you increase your job satisfaction rate and earning potential.

Whether you take a short or long-term approach, a failure to plan at all is a plan to fail and no one wants that. Dive into your pepelwerk app and plan for success!
