Effective Date: July 1, 2026

pepelwerk AI Recommendation Terms and Limitations Effective Date: July 1, 2026 Purpose: This document explains how pepelwerk generates recommendations and matching outputs and sets expectations for their use. Pepelwerk provides data-driven recommendations and decision-support tools. These tools are assistive only and do not make decisions on behalf of users or organizations. Pepelwerk is a technology and service company that helps people, employers, educators, and workforce partners connect around job, income, learning, and relationship-building goals. The platform is designed to generate recommendations based on available data inputs. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.

1. Recommendation Inputs and Limitations

Pepelwerk aims to prioritize interest, goal, job-related and user-provided information in recommendation processes where feasible. The pepelwerk software experience, including the AI Career Assistant and any assessment or psychometric tools used within the platform, may generate recommendations based on available data inputs. pepelwerk defines platform-based methodologies for aligning skills, courses, and career pathways. These methodologies are used to organize and present information within the platform and do not constitute independent funding, eligibility, or approval decisions. 1.1 Matching Method Overview Matching may consider factors such as user-provided information, stated goals, skills, preferences, activity, and opportunity requirements. Recommendation outputs, including match scores, may vary over time for the same user or opportunity as inputs, system design, or models change. 1.2 Match Scores and Rankings Pepelwerk may display match scores, percentages, rankings, or similar indicators. These scores are generated using probabilistic models based on available data and system design. Match scores are heuristic estimates and do not represent objective measurements, certifications, or guarantees of suitability, qualification, or performance. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. A higher match score does not mean a user is more qualified, more likely to succeed, or more appropriate than another user. A lower match score does not mean a user is unqualified or unsuitable. Match scores are not hiring recommendations, employment decisions, or indicators of legal or regulatory suitability. Match scores reflect system-generated estimates at a point in time and may change based on updated data, activity, or system adjustments. 1.3 AI Limitations Recommendations, matches, rankings, and scores are probabilistic outputs based on available data and system design. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Pepelwerk does not guarantee that outputs are free from unintended or systemic effects, fully explainable, or interpretable. Results may vary and should be independently reviewed before use. Recommendations are informational only. Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Customers remain responsible for how they configure, review, and act on recommendations.

2. Use of Recommendation Outputs

Recommendation outputs are assistive only and should be reviewed independently before being relied upon for any employment, education, program, funding, or business decision. Recommendations should not be treated as final decisions, professional advice, or assurances of any outcome. Pepelwerk does not guarantee a job offer, admission decision, income outcome, learning completion, employer response, customer purchase, connection, match, or human decision. Users and customers remain responsible for reviewing recommendation outputs, validating information before relying on it, making independent decisions, and complying with applicable laws, policies, and obligations. 2.1 No Duty of Care Pepelwerk provides recommendation outputs, including match scores, rankings, and insights, as part of its assistive technology services. Pepelwerk does not undertake any duty to ensure that such outputs are accurate, complete, fair, unbiased, or suitable for any specific user, opportunity, decision, or use case. All recommendation outputs are provided for informational purposes only. Users and organizations are solely responsible for independently evaluating, validating, and determining the appropriate use of any outputs generated by the platform. No Reliance: Users are solely responsible for all decisions made using the platform. Users assume full responsibility for any reliance on recommendations, whether in whole or in part. No Certification/No Endorsement: Pepelwerk does not certify, validate, endorse, or guarantee any user, candidate, opportunity, or outcome.

3. Customer Responsibility and Legal Use

Employers, educators, workforce partners, and customers using AI, automated tools, or marketplace recommendations are responsible for determining whether and how those outputs are used in their own processes. Use of recommendations must be reviewed independently and managed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, customer policies, and documented decision-making practices. Pepelwerk does not intend for marketplace recommendations to replace human judgment, legal compliance, accommodation processes, professional review, or customer responsibility. Employers and organizations must not use match scores or recommendation outputs as the sole or determinative factor in making decisions with legal or significant effects, including hiring, compensation, or eligibility determinations. This section is not legal advice and does not change the obligations of users, employers, educators, workforce partners, or customers under applicable law. It describes the limited role of recommendation outputs generated from available data inputs.
