The Job

Broker

What is a Broker?

Brokers help clients buy, sell and rent properties or services. Although Brokers and agents do similar work, Brokers are licensed to manage their own businesses. Sales agents must work with a Broker to complete their job.

Why Companies Need Brokers

The purpose of a Broker is  to ensure that a client gets the most out of their service. Whether negotiating prices, comparing market prices for the top value, or even selling, Brokers keep things organized financially. They are vital in handling transactions and use their financial expertise to ensure that the clients get the best deal possible.

How can I get paid the most?

Achieve your performance goals and measures of success.
  • Customers or sellers are satisfied about getting the best deal for their property or services.
  • Both the seller and buyer are happy with the terms of the deal.
  • You, as the Broker, earn consistent, high-paying income from sales of property or services.
  • Agents are satisfied with their sales and income.

What do Brokers do?

As a Broker you are responsible for all financial transactions regarding the client or services that you may offer. This includes:

  • Scout clients to buy, sell, and rent properties or services.
  • Hiring and training agents.
  • Advise clients on prices, mortgages, market conditions and other related information.
  • Compare properties and other services for sale, including details such as benefits, features and incentives.
  • Advertise and promote either property or services to prospects through ads, showcasing, open houses, listing services or calls.
  • Present and pitch offers to sellers.
  • Handle negotiations between buyer and seller.
  • Keep records for your services.
  • Ensure all contract terms of purchase are met.
  • Prepare necessary documents, such as contracts, purchase agreements and deeds.

In addition to these highlights there may be other tasks/actions that you will be asked to participate in or complete that coincide with accomplishing the organization’s objectives that are broader than the direct responsibilities of this in-demand job.
