Key responsibilities include:

Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect areas not being painted.
Mix and match colors to achieve desired shades and hues.
Fill cracks and holes with caulk or putty before painting.
Remove old paint layers using scrapers or chemical solvents.
Follow safety protocols when working with hazardous materials like lead-based paint.
